Principal’s Message
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
As we reach the halfway mark of the 2025 school year, I want to take this opportunity to recognise and celebrate the dedication, resilience, and achievements of our students and staff. It has been a busy and productive term, filled with learning, growth, and community spirit. I’m proud of the way our students have embraced challenges and continued striving for their best, both inside and outside the classroom.
The upcoming mid-year break is a well-earned pause — a time for students to slow down, rest, and focus on their wellbeing. Whether it's catching up with loved ones, exploring hobbies, or simply taking a breath, these moments of rest are just as important as academic success. We encourage everyone to make space for relaxation and return refreshed for the term ahead.
Looking forward, the second half of the year holds many exciting opportunities. We’re preparing a range of events, learning programs, and initiatives that will further enrich our students’ school experience. Our dedicated team remains committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all learners.
A reminder that Parent-Teacher Interviews will be held on the 4th of July. These conversations are an important part of our partnership in supporting your child’s progress. We look forward to seeing you and sharing valuable insights into your child’s learning journey.
I also want to extend sincere thanks to everyone who has supported our school’s various donation campaigns. Your kindness and generosity continue to have a meaningful impact, and we are grateful for the strong sense of community you help foster.
As always, your support and open communication are vital to the success of our students. Thank you for being active partners in their education.
Wishing you all a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable mid-year break.
Warm Regards,
Murat Guzel

Religion and Values
Religion and Values Studies – Term 2 Highlights
Dearest Parents and Guardians,
Throughout Term 2, students continued to deepen their understanding of Islamic beliefs and practices in our Religion and Values program.
This term, the focus was on the significance of living in accordance with Islamic teachings, highlighting that our ultimate purpose is to worship Allah (SWT). Students reflected on how acts of worship go beyond rituals and include kindness, honesty, and gratitude in everyday life.
They also explored Our Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Students learnt that the Qur’an is the final and most complete revelation from Allah, and the Sunnah guides us through the noble example of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Throughout stories and classroom discussions, they discovered how both sources provide practical guidance for leading a meaningful life.
Another key theme was Faith (Iman). Students revisited the six pillars of faith and discussed how belief shapes our character and influences our actions. These sessions encouraged personal reflection and helped nurture a stronger spiritual connection.
We are proud of our students' engagement and thoughtful contributions this term, and we look forward to continuing this journey of learning and growth in Term 3.
Best Regards,
The Religion and Values Team

As part of the camp, students visited Bounce, where they had a fantastic time enjoying the activities and creating lasting memories with their peers. The camp was a great success, and we are excited to announce that we will be running another camp at the end of term 2.
We were especially proud to see many of our students demonstrating excellent manners, responsibility, and behaviour aligned with our school values throughout the camp. As a recognition of their positive conduct, several students were presented with thoughtful gifts to encourage and celebrate their efforts.
Our Pastoral Care (PC) programs continue every Monday, focusing on character development, Islamic values, and life skills. We have also introduced Quran lessons every Tuesday, helping students improve their recitation and strengthen their connection with the Quran. Students enjoy a healthy serving of fruit before class, which helps them settle in and focus on their recitation and learning.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all families and community members who contributed to the Qurban Campaign. Your generous donations are helping us support those in need across the globe.
Thank you very much for your ongoing support.

Foundation Team
Dearest Parents and Guardians.
What a fun and engaging Term 2 we've had in Foundation! Here are just snippets.
In STEM, Foundation students have been exploring the connection between changes in motion and the forces of push and pull. Students engaged in various investigations and demonstrated a solid understanding of the relationship between these forces by providing relevant examples and reflections.
One of the projects completed by the Foundation students involved creating kites. Students constructed kites using paper and string. Recently, we took advantage of the windy conditions that morning to fly our kites. The Foundation students thoroughly enjoyed the experience of flying their kites. Following this activity, we dedicated time for reflection.

Year 1 Team
Dear Parents and Families,
What a fun and engaging Term 2 we've had in Year 1!
One of the highlights this term was our exciting excursion to Tiny Chefs. Students had the opportunity to step into the shoes of little chefs, where they made their own pizzas, decorated cupcakes, and prepared delicious milkshakes. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that the students absolutely loved!
We used this excursion to support our learning in English, where we have been focusing on procedural writing. Students were able to reflect on their cooking experience and write clear, step-by-step instructions based on what they made.
Back in the classroom, we continued building on these skills by making fairy bread and slime.
STEM – Exploring Forces
In STEM this term, Year 1 students have been learning all about forces, with a focus on push and pull. We explored how objects move depending on factors such as their shape, size, and weight, and how different strengths of pushes and pulls can change the way objects move.
To bring this learning to life, students participated in an exciting incursion with Hands-On Science.
To apply their learning, students also designed and made their own toy cars using classroom materials. They tested how their cars moved using push and pull forces, and had a great time exploring how to make them go faster or further!
It’s been a fantastic term of hands-on learning, curiosity, and discovery!

Exploring the Parts of a House – A Collaborative Language Project
This term in our year 3 Turkish Language class, students have been learning to name and describe the different parts of a house in Turkish. To make the learning hands-on and memorable, we launched a group project where students designed their own dream houses!
Working in small teams, students created house models using craft materials or digital tools. They labelled each room in the target language practising their speaking and vocabulary skills in a fun and engaging way.
This project not only built their language knowledge but also fostered teamwork, creativity, and confidence in speaking. It was wonderful to see the students take pride in their work and learn from each other.

ADVANCED TURKISH
A Fantastic Term of Growth in Advanced Turkish!
As Term 2 draws to a close, I’d love to highlight the impressive progress our Advanced Turkish students have made this semester.
This term, students have built on their foundational knowledge through engaging activities such as games, songs, and storytelling. They’ve moved beyond basic vocabulary and greetings, developing a deeper understanding of grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structure. It’s been so rewarding to see their confidence grow as they begin to hold more natural and meaningful conversations in Turkish.
To keep this momentum going, I encourage you to engage in small conversations at home or explore Turkish language apps, books, or videos together. Every bit of exposure helps reinforce what they’ve learnt in class and supports long-term success in language learning.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Esra Oz

This term, we began our sessions by exploring the art of weaving. We conducted research and engaged in discussions to understand the weaving process, recognizing its deep historical roots. Students became familiar with the necessary tools and materials before beginning their own weaving wall art projects. Despite encountering a few challenges along the way, many were able to complete their work on time with persistence and creativity.
Following our weaving projects, we transitioned to crocheting. To start, students learned how to create a slip knot. From there, they progressed to practicing chain stitches, the foundational step in crocheting, gradually building their skills and confidence. Once comfortable, they moved on to working their first row of single crochet stitches. By the end of the term, students will complete either a wristband or a headband as a demonstration of their newly acquired crochet skills.
Here are a few photos of the Artisan Crafters engaged in crocheting, showcasing their focus, skill development, and creativity as they work on their individual projects.

Foodies
On the 31st of April the foodies class went to the food tech room for their first ever food cooking lesson! All the students were overjoyed when they heard they were making pancakes! Our teacher graciously showed everybody step by step how to make the perfect pancakes. The entire class said it was an amazing experience to have!
When it came to safety all the prepped to cook their pancakes and they were all imperfectly perfect! We were all patient and had a part in the lovely experience, even cleaning or helping others!
When everyone was done cooking our enrichment was tasked with decorating the pancakes with a variety of fruits, and chocolate decorations! After decorating we got to eat or take home the delicious pancakes that we cooked!
Overall, 5 star experience with an amazing Foodies Junior Entrepreneur enrichment class!

This Term We Have Learned… About Building Positive Relationships
This term, we have been learning about the important skills that help us build strong, respectful relationships with others. Through class discussions, role plays, group activities, and real-life experiences, students have explored four key areas: Empathy, Effective Communication, Managing Relationships, and Conflict Resolution.
Empathy
We have learnt that empathy means understanding how someone else feels and showing kindness in response. Whether it’s checking in on a classmate, being a supportive friend, or simply listening, empathy helps us create a caring and inclusive school environment.
Effective Communication
Students have practised using clear, respectful communication to express their thoughts and feelings. We’ve focused on active listening, using polite language, and explaining how we feel using “I” statements. These skills help avoid misunderstandings and build trust with others.
Managing Relationships
Learning how to be a good friend, team member, and classmate is an important part of school life. This term, we’ve talked about the importance of cooperation, honesty, and showing appreciation for others. Students have learnt strategies for maintaining friendships and working well with different people.
Conflict Resolution
Conflict is a normal part of life, and this term we’ve learnt how to handle it in positive and respectful ways. Students have been encouraged to stay calm, listen to both sides, and find solutions that are fair and peaceful. These tools help us solve problems and grow stronger together.
We’re proud of the way our students are developing these important life skills. By learning how to understand others, communicate clearly, and manage relationships thoughtfully, they’re not only making our school a better place—they’re also building the foundations for success beyond the classroom.
